FOREFATHERS’ GRIT
Bataan has a very important role in the history of the Philippines and Bataan is definitely a tourist friendly province. This year celebrates the 80th Day of Valor or Araw ng Kagitingan – Bataan Day, which gives honor to all the veterans who gave their life for the country.
The Day of Valor or officially known as Araw ng Kagitingan
is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of
Bataan to Japanese troops during the Second World War. It falls every 9th
of April. The Day of The Valor is a day for us to honor the heroism of Filipino
soldiers when the Japanese invaded and occupied the Philippines. It is a day to
reflect how brave the Filipino soldiers are. It’s a day that gives us
inspiration to love our country more and be courageous. Therefore, it is just
right and proper to have a day to commemorate the grit of the warriors who
defended our homeland.
As we face global health crisis, we are reminded to
remain cooperative, brave, and resilient as we, together with our frontline
warriors in healthcare unite to combat the pandemic that has swooped down on
humankind.
We
owe it to our forefathers who sacrificed their lives for us.
Long live the bravery of Filipinos!
